IMPORTANT 2024 Fall Information!

Thank you for your patience as we discussed the upcoming ICA season programming changes released last week.  We know this is a significant schedule change from what we are used to and we appreciate you giving us time to prepare our response.

 

* At this time, PCA is planning to open registration for the Fall 2024 season on March 1.  This will allow us the ability to have all potential competition weekends - including State weekend - included in the mandatory dates to prevent any scheduling conflicts when you register for the season. Because we will have all dates available before registration, the expectation is that if you register for Fall 2024 - you are able to commit to all mandatory competition weekends and therefore there will be absolutely no refunds given for schedule conflicts.  PCA's final schedule will be announced the weekend of May 18.  

 

* We anticipate our mandatory no-practice days to be:  June 30, 2024 through July 13, 2024.  We strongly encourage you to utilize these dates for your summer vacations.  We will continue to allow 3 absences throughout the season.  A missed choreography session will now count as 2 absences.  We will do our best to have these dates available before you register so you can make the decision if you can participate within the PCA attendance policy guidelines.  We are a competitive cheer program - attendance at all mandatory events and practices should be your priority during the cheer season.  

 

* State 2024 WILL be in November - anywhere between November 7 and November 17, 2024.  We anticipate State to follow the same 4 day format it has for the past 2 years - Grades 1-4 on Days 1 and 3 and Grades 6-8 on Days 2 and 4 with 5th grade potentially being in either scheduling track.  Your athlete is likely to need to miss school for 1 day during the State weekend.  

 

* Tryouts and evaluations will be held the week of April 15.  We will share additional information about this in the next few weeks.  

 

* We are actively seeking coaches for the Fall 2024 season.  We will have applications posted on our website shortly.  We are striving to match coaches with teams they are best suited for based on knowledge and experience.  Parent coaches are not guaranteed to coach his/her athlete's team and an athlete is never guaranteed a spot on a team due to a parent coach.
