Program Goals and Expectations:
All athletes that would like to be considered for placement on a Super Rec team with Platinum Cheer for the Fall 2024 will be required to attend the evaluation process on February 23 or February 25 during his/her grade level’s scheduled time - REGISTER HERE. All athletes must complete the Evaluation Registration From prior to February 22 to be allowed to attend the evaluation. Athletes should be prepared with the $50 non-refundable evaluation fee at check-in to be allowed to participate. During this process, athletes will be evaluated in the areas of tumbling, stunting, jumps, motions, showmanship, coachability, and overall cheerleading knowledge. There are no set requirements to make a Super Rec team - we are striving to form highly competitive teams with a balanced mix of skills. Within 48 hours of your evaluation time, you will be emailed your team placement along with a team-specific contract detailing your financial obligations, time commitment, mandatory dates, coach information and expectations, and the link to register for the season. You will have 48 hours to complete the registration, pay the initial payment plan fees, and return your signed contract. If this is not received within the 48 hour window, PCA reserves the right to withdraw your team placement.
Per ICA guidelines, up to 3 grade levels may be combined to form a team. Attendance at the Evaluation process does not guarantee placement on a Super Rec team. The goal of the evaluation process is to place every athlete on a skill-appropriate team that will allow for overall individual and team growth in the sport of cheerleading.
Acceptance of a position on a Super Rec team comes with additional obligations outside of attendance at practices and being held to a high standard.
These expectations include, but are not limited to:
- Commitment to attending tumbling classes - weekly video documentation will be required
