They say it takes a village to raise a child, and running a youth athletic organization is no exception!  While Platinum Cheer is extremely fortunate to have a staff of dedicated coaches and Board members, there are many aspects of the organization that rely on parent volunteers to make happen.

Each Family will be required to submit a post-dated (December 1, 2021) $150 Volunteer Check at Uniform and Practice Wear Fittings in May. The check will only be cashed at the end of the season if Volunteer requirements were not met.  PCA reserves the right to hold the athlete’s cheer package if a volunteer check is not turned it before the season starts.

Each Family must Volunteer 4 credit points per season.

This page will be kept updated with links to sign-up for various duties throughout the season. Each opportunity is weighted 1-4 credit points. Volunteer opportunities will be filled on a “First Come First Served” basis.  PCA will utilize Sign-Up Genius to allow parents to sign-up for opportunities as they are made available. Each sign-up will indicate the number of credit points an opportunity is worth. All sign-ups will be shared in the monthly newsletter and will be posted to the PCA website.

The Director of Communications will track hours.  While the Board will make every effort to track participation as events are occurring, we ask that you please email [email protected] after the event to ensure you receive credit.

During the Season, there will be various opportunities to earn the family participation credit hours.  Please do not assume something you help with will be counted as volunteer credits. Any opportunity not posted by PCA must be approved in writing by the Board for it to count towards your volunteer credits – coaches are not authorized to issue volunteer credits.
