IMPORTANT 2020 CHEER PROGRAM INFORMATION!

Platinum Families,

We want to first and foremost thank every family in this Organization for standing by Platinum during a year it was easy to turn away. You all supported us as we remained hopeful to continue forward with a season, and for that we are grateful.

We write this message, as so many are, to announce we are putting a hold on our Fall 2020 season. We have unanimously voted that it would not be responsible of our Organization to move forward in a high contact sport with a promise of a season that we know we won’t be able to uphold. Whether it be a week into the season or a month into a season, COVID continues to shut down teams and Organizations for weeks at a time, which is a detrimental amount of time to a Cheer season. This decision was made with input from the Exec Board, The General Board, and a conversation with Coaches within Platinum.

We are doing the following to keep Platinum going:

Fall Clinics
  • Information to be coming out in the coming weeks.
  • These will be pay as you go.
  • These are optional to promote activity and keep up strength during our off season.  While we encourage athletes to keep skill-building in the off-season, the only activities sponsored by PCA will be held at MPX or via Zoom and will be communicated by the Board.  We cannot take responsibility for any activities that occur outside of these sponsored events.  
Spring Season
  • Platinum will venture on to a Spring season.
  • This is new territory for our Program, we plan to announce the details in October.
  • Please take the time to fill out the Survey Monkey on your interest in the Spring Program.
  • Dates are likely to be: Practices start in January, with competitions in March and April.
  • Cost of program cannot be determined as costs vary from Fall to Spring in many areas.

We look forward to announcing our clinics and Spring program to encourage all Athletes to remain within Cheer and stay physically active as we head into the Fall/Winter. Almost all Coaches are committed to Clinics and the Spring. We can say it’s been a rough year, but we are optimistic that come 2021 Teal and Blue will be back on the mats, continuing the Legacy we’ve started.

2020 Cheer Program Information

The total cost of cheer has been reduced to $725 (was originally $825). PCA was able to work with vendors to reduce costs and also add more money from past fundraising and sponsorships to find this savings for all of the families.

The program start date has been changed to August 3, 2020

Program Cost Includes (1st - 8th Grade Teams):

  • NEW Rebel Uniform
  • 2 weekday  2 hour practices
  • 1 Practice T-shirt
  • 1 Rebel Organization Tank
  • 1 Practice bow, 1 theme bow, 1 Competition Bow
  • Rebel Ruthless Cheer Shoes
  • Choreography Clinic
  • Competition Music
  • Indoor Practice Facility with Full Regulation Size Cheer Mat
  • 2 Qualifying IRCA Competitions 
  • IRCA Cheer University Trained Coaching Staff

$145 State Fee IS NOT INCLUDED.  This will be collected in early November.

Families on a payment plan: You have made 2 payments so far.   

**If you did not make the May 20th payment, we will impose a $25 late fee as of 6/25**

Sparkle Team Information

$250 (Due in full at Registration. No payment plan)

  • 12 Weeks of  2- One hour Practices per Week
  • 1 Practice T-shirt
  • 1 Cheer Sparkle Tank
  • 1 Cheer Bow
  • Indoor Practice Facility with Full Cheer Mats
  • Work on beginner tumbling, jumps and stunts
  • IRCA Cheer University Trained Coaching Staff

1-5th Grade Team Fees

At Registration $325
May 20 payment: $150
NEW PAYMENT DATE: 7/15 : $250
THIS WILL BE A SEPARATE INVOICE and will be sent next week. You will have to enter payment information again.
 

6-8th Grade Team Fees

At Registration $225
May 20 payment: $200
NEW PAYMENT DATE: 7/15 : $300

2020 Refund Policy

Platinum Cheer is committed to ensuring monies not spent goes back to families and athletes. Below is what will be deducted as of the 1st of every month from refunds, should the season not move forward in any given month. 

June = $100 – IRCA funds committed – no refund given from IRCA, and if IRCA provides a credit for next season it will be carried over to 2021 registration.  ***ONLY 8th graders will receive this refund in Fall of 2021***

June = Less refund $90/athlete – Choreography and music committed

July = Less $300 – Uniforms, tanks, shoes, bows and tees ordered (uniform used in 2021)

August = Less $70/athlete – Space committed

September = Less $70/athlete – Space Committed

October = Less $70/athlete – Space Committed

November = NO REFUNDS, $25 will carry over to PCA in 2021
