6-8th Grade Team Tryouts to be held Tentatively on April 17-18th 7-9PM.

4th & 5th Grade Team MANDATORY Evaluations to be held Tentatively on April 17-18th 5-7PM.

The total cost of cheer is $1095 for Grades 1-8th. The cost for Sparkle Cheer (K) and Ruby Team is $500. 

The program start date is July 17, 2023.

Each cheerleader needs to compete in ALL competitions PCA will register for 

First Madness - September 24 @ NIU Convocation Center
Cheercago - October 7-8 @ Hampshire High School
Cheer Pink - October 21-22 @ Dundee-Crown High School
Operation Cheer - November 4-5 @ West Aurora High School
Final Fling - November 18-19 @ NIU Convocation Center
STATE WEEKEND - November 30 - December 3rd @ NIU Convocation Center

Cheer Program Costs: 

  • Registration
    • ​$1095 Grades 1-8th
    • $500 for Kindergarten (Sparkle)
  • $270 Rebel Uniform Top (ONLY if not already purchased or doesn't fit)
    • NOT Included in Registration payments - must be purchased at Uniform Fittings IF NEEDED.
    • NEW SKIRT IS INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION COSTS
  • $165 IRCA State Fee
    • Due at a later date, TBA, and NOT part of Registration payments
  • $150 Volunteer Post Dated Check per Family- To only be cashed at end of season if you did not fulfill Volunteer hours
    • Due at Uniform Fitting and NOT part of Registration payments
  • $50 For Athlete Gift - To be used for competition & state gifts
    • Due to Team Mom in August and NOT part of registration payments
  • $100 Mandatory Fundraiser Fee per Family due September 1st for CASH BASH - NOT included in Registration Cost
  • $50 Annual Tryout Fee for all 6th-8th graders - Payable by cash or check at time of tryouts if it wasn't paid at Spring 2023 tryouts.

PCA ATTENDANCE POLICY!!

Competition Season runs from July to December

There will be NO BOARD EXCEPTIONS during competition season

All Athletes have 3 Excused Absences to use during the season

  • All Practices are mandatory effective August 1, 2023.
  •  Only 3 Mandatory Absences of any kind are allowed per season.
    • Any athlete exceeding that will not be eligible to compete after the 4th one. 
      • For Example:
        • 1 Missed Practice = 1 Absence
        • 1 Missed Choreo session = 1 Absence
        • 2 Tardies = 1 Absence. A Tardy is arriving late or leaving early more than 10 minutes
  • Medical appointments are always excused absences at all times
  • Missing a practice within 1 (ONE) week of a competition will result in not performing at that Competition. (Exception is Spring Break Week)
  • THANKSGIVING WEEK IS MANDATORY!

MANDATORY Additional Dates:

6th-8th Grade Team Tryouts:  Scheduled for April 17 & April 18th - at MegaPlex in Homer Glen 7-9PM

4th-5th Grade Team Evaluations:  Scheduled for April 17 & April 18th - at MegaPlex in Homer Glen 5-7PM

Uniform and Practice Wear Fittings: April 19th, 2023 at the MegaPlex in Homer Glen 6-9PM. 

Competitions: In order to participate within the PCA Organization, you must be able to attend the ALL competition for the team you are registering for. (K) Sparkle is ONE competition and 1-8th Grade is THREE Competitions. 

Choreography:  All dates are mandatory for all athletes, see tentative hold dates below.  Each day has a lunch break.

State Weekend:  State Weekend is Thursday, November 30 to Sunday, December 3, 2023.  This may require to be out of school on Thursday, November 30th.
